This joint initiative of the ECLAC, UNDP, and the club de Madrid reaffirms the importance of energy access in poverty reduction of the most vulnerable groups and achieving the MDGs in the Latin America and the Caribbean. The report recommends strengthening governmental planning and processes to scaling up pro-poor programmers for the provision of energy access in rural communities.
